Christmas events and markets

The Christmas market at St John’s and the Methodist Church has become a regular fixture in the Christmas calendar, but this year the Lion Heart Market [Update: The Lion Heart Market changed in 2013 to become E11 Market] will be keeping the flag flying for Christmas shoppers for a further two Saturdays in December.

Christmas shopping

Christmas decorations from Bumblebee FlowersOxford Street and now Westfield may be only a short hop away for Christmas shopping but if you want to avoid the rush and crush there are plenty of present buying opportunities in Leytonstone. Here’s  suggestion for some of the shops to explore for presents and Christmas treats: Christmas Shopping 2012. 

Snow Angels

Waltham Forest Council is looking for snow angels — people to volunteer to clear snow if it falls in their roads.
