Charity’s first ever marathon entry.
Carefree Kids, a Leytonstone based charity working in schools throughout Waltham Forest and the neighbouring boroughs, is entering its first ever runner in the London Marathon this Sunday to raise money towards an urgently needed new playbus and towards general office costs.
27-year old Beth Eite is a town planner with Tower Hamlets Council. She has run two full marathons before, in Rome and Edinburgh, but has struggled with a knee injury this year, so is hoping this won’t deter her success.
Beth found out about Carefree Kids from her boyfriend, Rob, whose mum is chair of the Trustees and a volunteer. Rob was also a pupil at George Tomlinson School in Leytonstone, one the main schools the charity works with.
