Are you thinking of organising a street party for the Jubilee?

Party baloons and hatsCommunity Ward forums are taking place in Leytonstone next week, and with the Olympics and Diamond Jubilee coming up this could be a good time to attend one if you’ve never been before, especially if you’re thinking of organising a street party.

The meetings are open to individual residents, community groups and business representatives and are attended by local councillors. Each ward has £10,000 to spend each year on local initiatives. But this year the Council has given each ward an extra £5,000 under The Street Party Initiative. The closing date for applications for the Diamond Jubilee is 4 May 2012, so the Community Ward forums next week will be the last before this closing date.

More information about the Community Ward forums and street parties are on:

Dates and venues for ward meetings are:

Cann Hall and Cathall Joint Community Ward Forum

Tuesday 20 March 2012, 7.30pm – 9.30pm

If you are organising a street party, add it to the Calendar and I’ll help you promote it through this site and Facebook and Twitter if you’d like me to (no cost!).
