Eating out

Leytonstone town centre only has a limited number of restaurants but covering a wide range of cuisines including Indian, Chinese, Thai, and Mediterranean, plus Romanian, and other styles of food a little further down the High Road towards Stratford.

I’ve featured a few restaurants here, but not all are covered yet. There are also many cafés and the popular Horizon patisserie, a Costa Coffee that opened in 2012, a large Macdonalds with a children’s play area, a Subway, plus food at a number of pubs including The Walnut Tree (J D Wetherspoons) Irish pub food at O’Neill’s (The Green Man), Crabtree’s Kitchen at the North Star and The Red Lion that reopened in the summer of 2011 which also provides dining. Overlooking the forest on Whipps Cross Road about 10 to 15 minutes’ walk from the town centre (or two stops on the 257 bus towards Walthamstow) is the Sir Alfred Hitchcock Hotel which also serves food and for a traditional taste of the East End try the Eel & Pie House at Harrow Green.

    OJ Soul is disgusting.

They need to sharpen up or they won’t last long.
